There are many fantastic games that have developed for the Sony Playstation, the Microsoft Microsoft Xbox 360 and the Sony Playstation Portable. One of my favorite video games of all time is a small, not-to-well known game that has all of the important elements that make for a quality video game in spades: interesting characters, challenging game play, humor, suspense and an absolutely breathtaking and magical musical score that I’m still looking to download onto my iPod Nano: the game is Medievil, which was designed and developed for the original Playstation and is now available for the Sony PSP.

Medievil is both challenging and addictive. As the main character, you are Sir Daniel Fortesque, and you’re dead. Yet, on the Sony PSP, you come back to life to once again vanquish the forces of evil. It’s a simple premise that has been seen and played on many video game platforms, from Nintendo to the Microsoft Xbox 360. However, on the Sony Playstation and the PSP, it is a great looking game that’s fun to play.

This video game really has it all. The music, which is definitely iPod Nano worthy, is never boring, repetitive or dull. Each part of the soundtrack corresponds beautifully with each unique level and area of the game, so that rather than playing a video game, you feel like your actually watching a spooky, scary and gothic movie – with you as the star! The graphics are incredible, and the voiceover work is some of the best and funniest that’s ever been developed for the Sony Playstation Portable.

There are lots of games that get tons of marketing and publicity thrown behind them. And, for the most part, the attention is well deserved, as the more popular games are often some of the best and most innovative titles ever created. Sometimes, a smaller game gets released that becomes a total and must-have game. For me, Sony really hit a home run by releasing Medievil, and now that’s it’s available on the Sony PSP, it’s even better than ever!
