In order to compile long lists of songs and capture moments of time blank cassette tapes have been used for a number of years. This can be viewed as an art form of sorts. The tapes can be very amusing and are a lot of fun to listen to. People who trade these tapes get exposed to many different kinds of music.

The mix tape showcased our creativity and transformed all of us into music mixers. The MP3 and blank CD have allowed us to carry this tradition into the present day. Even still, the mix tape will always be a classic.
