The activation switch is usually located near the seat belt release and pressing it will shut off the fuel and apply the brakes to stop the car. This feature gives you a useful option when you might otherwise be helpless. With this system, a person being car jacked can actively prevent the theft of their vehicle.

The majority of these systems are meant to notify the police in an expedient manner which is immeasurably important in emergency situations.
